You can’t even make calls which is a main feature of Skype, so no, this is not working on Firefox at the moment and has nothing to do with blocking access just for blocking access.

I'm perfectly connected to the internet, no problems with firewalls, every other service I have works perfectly fine. And then there's Skype. It's just constantly saying "Connecting" at the very top of the screen, never actually connecting.
